The children of the Nigerian politicians on the current list have completely given up on politics in favor of acting, one of the most lucrative and prestigious careers in the world. While some actors have achieved considerable success, others have not.

Peter Obi

Peter Obi is a politician from Nigeria who previously held the position of executive governor of Anambra State. He also ran as the PDP’s vice presidential candidate in the 2019 general election in Nigeria. Currently, he is the Labor Party’s candidate for the presidency of Nigeria in 2023. Peter Obi is currently one of the most well-known politicians in the nation, but what many people may not realize is that Gregory, Peter Obi’s son, is also working to establish himself as a household figure.
Actor and producer Gregory Oseloka Obi attended Bristol University to study philosophy before beginning his acting career. His Assistance, a 2019 American drama film, and Avenue 5, an HBO series, both featured him in acting roles.

Senator Anthony Adefuye

Anthony Adefuye, a senator from Nigeria and a member of the third republic, participated in the uprising against Sani Abacha’s military regime. Admiral Augustus Akhabue Aikhomu

From 1986 to 1993, Augustus Akhabue Aikhomu, a politician and admiral in the Nigerian Navy, held the de facto position of vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the military rule of General Ibrahim Babangida. He presided over the All Nigeria Peoples Party’s Board of Trustees up until his death in 2011. Many people might be unaware that Mark Holden, the biracial son Admiral Aikhomu had with his foreign wife Shirley Anne Holden, is now an actor.

Mark has starred in movies including The Infiltrator, World War Z, The Double Deal, and more.

Amina J. Mohammed

Amina Jane Mohammed is a British-Nigerian diplomat and politician who is currently serving as the fifth Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and was previously the Nigerian Minister of Environment from 2015 to 2016. What many may not know is that Amina J. Mohammed has a daughter who is currently active in the Nigerian movie industry. That daughter is actress and producer Nadine Ibrahim.

Nadine Ibrahim is a Nigerian actress who has starred in films including Hakkunde, Tolu, I Am Not Corrupt, and Through Her Eyes.

Joy Emodi

Joy Emodi is a Nigeiran politician who was elected senator for the Anambra North constituency of Anambra State, Nigeria, taking office on 20 February 2005 after the election of Emmanuel Anosike was annulled. She was re-elected in 2007, but her second election was appealed by Alphonsus Obi Igbeke of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) candidate and after protracted hearings, Igbeke was declared the winner on 25 March 2010, and her second election was annulled. Despite all that, what many may not know is that Joy Emodi has a son who is quite popular in Nollywood. Joy’s son is none other than Nollywood actor Ray Emodi.

Ray Emodi is popular for his myriad of ROK TV productions and Youtube films. Some of his movies include Heaven On My Mind, A Daughter’s Dilemma, Unfinished Business, and more.
